Why SSC Forms Get Rejected (And How to Fix It)
Every year, more than 15% of SSC applications are rejected due to blurred photos, wrong dimensions, colored backgrounds, or blue ink signatures on shadow-filled paper scans.
1. SSC Photo Rules (Must-Follow)
- Dimensions: Exactly 3.5 cm width x 4.5 cm height (approx 413 x 531 pixels at 300 DPI).
- File Size: 20 KB to 50 KB in JPG/JPEG format.
- Name & Date (DOP): The photograph must clearly display the candidate name and Date of Photo (DOP) printed across a white banner at the bottom. Use our SSC Name & Date Tool.
- No Caps or Spectacles: Both ears must be clearly visible, with eyes open looking straight into the camera.
2. SSC Signature Rules
- Dimensions: 4.0 cm width x 2.0 cm height.
- File Size: 10 KB to 20 KB.
- Ink: Must be signed in pure BLACK ink on clean white paper. If you signed in blue ink, use our Signature Ink Converter to instantly convert it to black ink without paper shadows.
